The Government Contracts Manager is an organized and proactive leader who will manage deliverables on government contracts at More Than Words (MTW). The Manager reports to the Director of Grants and is accountable for managing a portfolio of $2.1M in youth-enrollment based contracts from local, state, and federal sources and providing support to the Director’s management of an additional $1.2M in program grants. The role is heavily administrative, with a focus on invoicing, managing grant enrollments for a youth team of 70-100 people, and updating state databases, but also requires strategic thinking and interpersonal skills to optimize enrollments, engage youth, build systems, and manage relationships. Beyond a supportive Advancement team of eight, the role collaborates closely with and is supported by staff in admissions and finance.

More Than Words (MTW) seeks a creative, organized, and highly engaged Marketing Coordinator to help bring our mission, young people, stores, and community partnerships to life across social media. This hands-on alumni position will focus on day-to-day social engagement, capturing authentic content across MTW spaces, promoting the growing chain of Boomerangs thrift stores, identifying and building relationships with local influencers, and coordinating influencer visits at our sites. The role reports to the Director of Marketing and New Business and works closely with site staff to gather timely, compelling content. 

More Than Words (MTW) seeks a Book Donations Manager (DM) to handle pick-up and delivery of donated books, media, clothing, and housewares from private homes, businesses, libraries, and community groups on a weekly basis in support of our two youth-run retail and online stores. The ideal candidate is a flexible, hard-working individual who is comfortable driving the MTW truck and/or MTW van in the Boston Metro area. This is a full-time salaried position.  MTW strongly encourages applications from individuals with previous truck/moving experience. This position reports to the Director of Business Development.

More Than Words seeks a creative, highly motivated, and detail-oriented Business Training Coordinator to support operations in order to deepen and grow MTW. This position provides a hands-on, real-world opportunity to apply business acumen in the daily operations and strategic growth of a nonprofit social enterprise. The Business Training Coordinator will support oversight of all aspects of the store and online businesses including maximizing profitability, training, inventory management, marketing, merchandising and events. 

More Than Words (MTW) seeks a Business Training Manager (BTM) who is both an Online shift manager and a coach for our youth at our Waltham site. The Business Training Manager position offers an exciting opportunity for an individual with a high degree of social responsibility and an orientation to high performance to join a growing organization that combines “doing good, while doing well.” Based on your previous experience and after intensive, supported, paid training, you will be managing and leading shifts as the lead manager on duty within one month. You will inspire, hold accountable, and support your team. Previous experience in a retail setting, bookstore, or online industry preferred but not required.
