    More Than Words (MTW) seeks a Book Donations Manager (DM) to handle pick-up and delivery of donated books, CDs, DVDs and clothing from private homes, businesses, libraries, and community groups on a weekly basis in support of our two youth-run retail and online stores. The ideal candidate is a flexible, hard-working individual who is comfortable driving the MTW truck and/or MTW van in the Boston Metro area.     The Director of Career Services will lead the expanding Career Services and Pathways Department. This role will focus on building education and employment partnerships to support MTW young adults on their path to a living wage. The Director will also oversee innovative funding initiatives aimed at enhancing the economic mobility of MTW graduates. Reporting to the COO, the Director will work closely with Boston and Waltham Site Directors to create pathways for MTW graduates.     More Than Words (MTW) seeks a creative, results-oriented Mobile Business Training Manager (BTM) to coach and train young people in customer service, achieve revenue goals, and promote MTW's mission. The Mobile BTM will enhance customer engagement and support youth in learning customer service skills, inventory management, and professionalism through job coaching. This role involves accurate data tracking and using data to improve practices. Responsibilities include working with Operations and Business Development to grow the mobile retail and pop-up shop experience, teaching and training young people in customer service, building partnerships with companies and organizations to host pop-up shops, and collaborating with the adult and youth retail team to build brand awareness. This position reports to the Associate Director of Retail and is full-time, requiring a passion for working with young adults in a social enterprise setting.

  • Americorps VISTA Community Events Coordinator

    The purpose of this project is to create the tools, resources, and knowledgebase that improves More Than Words’ ability to empower system-involved young adults within the MTW model. Working directly with the Associate Director of Events, the Community Events VISTA will play a critical role in creating systems and networks to activate the store space to foster community, create higher level skill building within the job training program, and raise awareness of the More Than Words mission and model. This is an in-person role.

  • Americorps VISTA Evaluation Coordinator

    The purpose of this project is to create the tools, resources, and knowledge-base that improves More Than Words’ ability to empower system-involved young adults within the MTW model. Working directly with the Chief Learning Officer, the Evaluation Coordinator will build evaluation infrastructure by improving training and documentation materials; strengthening internal practices by monitoring data for quality and patterns; and supporting the qualitative assessment of MTW’s programming. This is an in-person role.

    MORE THAN WORDS seeks a creative, highly motivated, and detail-oriented Youth Development Coordinator to support Youth Development Programing at our Waltham location. This position provides a hands-on, paid opportunity to lead programming and training while working with Young Adults to hit outcomes in Education, Employment and Self Efficacy. The Youth Development Coordinator will support oversight aspects of Young Adult Programing including workshops, trainings, youth development shifts and onboarding.
