  • Associate Director of Youth Development - Boston

    More Than Words (MTW) is seeking an experienced youth services professional to lead the design, implementation, and management of high-impact youth development programs. This leadership role combines strategic program development with hands-on youth engagement, staff management, and partnership building. The Associate Director will foster a strong, data-driven culture to continuously improve outcomes for young people as they develop academic, workforce, and life skills.

    This position reports to the Director of Youth Development and works closely with the Associate Director of Youth Development (Waltham) and Social Enterprise leaders. Responsibilities include supervising youth development staff, interns, and volunteers; leading program development and management; and serving as a positive role model and resource for youth.

  • Front Desk Reception, Hospitality, & Safety Manager

    Open to MTW Alumni Only

    The MTW Front Desk Reception, Hospitality & Safety Manager serves as the first point of contact for youth, staff, volunteers and visitors coming to the MTW Boston location. This role creates a welcoming, safe, and organized environment while supporting daily operations and maintaining safety protocols at More Than Words. The position plays a critical role in upholding the organization’s mission to provide a secure, supportive, and positive space for youth development and job training, while also being a key role to maintain safety protocols.

    The manager reports to the Boston Site Director.

  • Volunteer Manager

    Open to MTW Alumni Only

    The Volunteer Manager is an organized and enthusiastic alumnus of More Than Words who engages volunteers to support our mission in many ways. The Manager runs 2-3 group volunteer events weekly, interviews and onboards recurring individual volunteers, stays in regular communication with 30-40 individuals about their weekly schedule, and provides administrative support for the program including managing an active volunteer email inbox.

    The Manager reports to the Associate Director of Development, and also assists the department in routine and ad hoc administrative tasks, such as donation processing and event support.
