take a virtual tour of our space
Take a virtual walk through our youth‑run bookstore and event space from anywhere in the world. This tour offers a behind‑the‑scenes look at our day‑to‑day operations, including the first floor, back‑of‑store areas, and our second floor.
Please note: this tour was recorded prior to our shift to thrift, so interior first‑floor fixtures and displays may look different today. However, the overall room structure, layout, and flow of the building remain the same, giving you an accurate sense of the space for events and rentals.

space rental FAQ's
Can I serve alcohol?
Yes. You must work with a bartending service with a 12C
liquor license, TIPS certified bartenders, and liquor liability
insurance. We can provide recommendations.
Do you have preferred vendors?
Yes. We have a list of vendors that we have had great experiences with, but they are not required.
Do I need any permits or licenses?
Your event may require an entertainment license. Food and
beverage vendors will be asked for additional permits.
What is a COI?
All clients must provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) naming MTW as additionally insured. If you are an individual, you
can ask your homeowners or renters insurance for this document.
Will there be a staff member on-site during my rental?
YES! Depending on the details of your event, we may also contract with security services.
Do fees apply to setup and break-down hours?
Yes, our hourly rate begins when you and your vendors
arrive and until you and your vendors exit.
Is there parking?
Not onsite, but there is nearby $2.50/hour parking under I-93. Vendors can load in from our back parking lot.
Are your lights on dimmers?
Yes, all our lights are on dimmers.
Where does my fee go?
Your rental fee supports More Than Words, a non-profit social enterprise empowering youth who are in foster care, out of school, homeless, or court involved to take charge of their lives by taking charge of a business.
Are there ways to further support MTW through my event?
You can engage our youth staff by requesting a brief introduction or tour. We will also provide coupons for your guests to shop our bookstore. Depending on your event, you can also consider asking your guests to bring books to donate!
