  • Director of Grants

    More Than Words (MTW) seeks a Director of Grants to lead the organization in engaging foundation/corporate partners and acquiring and managing government grants and contracts. This position is responsible for approximately $5.5M in revenue across these two funding streams in FY 2026 and meeting annual goals for growth of revenue. The Director will be the organization’s lead grant writer, taking direct ownership of organizing and drafting new or complex proposals, and will lead engagement, cultivation, and prospecting for corporate and foundation stakeholders. The Director will supervise the Grants & Giving Manager who maintains the grants calendar and supports drafting and submitting routine proposals and reports. The Director will also supervise the Senior Government Contracts Manager who manages fee-for-service government contracts and routine government contracting and reporting. This role reports to the Chief Advancement Officer and works closely with the CEO as well as the evaluation and finance teams.

  • Associate Director of Development

    More Than Words (MTW) seeks an Associate Director of Development to lead the organization to engage a wide range of stakeholders with a focus on individual donors. The Associate Director manages the annual fund, leads mid-tier donor relationships, and engages the community through volunteering, with a goal of raising $550,000+ from these sources in FY 2026 and achieving annual growth goals. The Associate Director also manages fundraising and cultivation events, including the annual fundraiser and cultivation events that are part of supporting the organization’s overall goal of $5M in philanthropic support. The Associate Director directly supervises the Volunteer & Marketing Coordinators at each site (program alumni roles) and has dotted line oversight of a Grants & Giving Manager to supervise donation processing. This role reports to the Chief Advancement Officer and works closely with the events, marketing, and business teams.

As MTW’s largest revenue-generating business, our online retail operation brings in over $2.5 million annually and provides transformative job training to more than 60 system-involved youth at any given time. This senior leadership role is ideal for a dynamic, mission-driven professional with deep expertise in e-commerce, operational excellence, and team development. The Director will be responsible for driving innovation, ensuring operational sustainability, and aligning business performance with MTW’s mission: to empower youth through meaningful employment and personal growth. This role reports to the Chief of Social Enterprise.
