Cultural Writing. Each of the editors of major U.S. literary magazines explains the choice of a particular story, describes the editorial procedures and defines the editorial policies of the literary magazine in which the story originally appeared. Written especially for the collection, each of the essays contains the complete text of an examplary story by a contemporary writer with the editor's comments.
